The Japanese media (voltechno.com) recognized Rotake Tools as having the most impressive cordless power tools in the Chinese booth during the Japan Hardware & DIY Show (DIY HOMECENTER SHOW 2023).

A Chinese tool firm named Rotake Tools recently took part in the DIY HOMECENTER SHOW 2023 in Japan with their cordless products. According to sources in Japanese media, Rotake Tools' battery packs are distinctive and original in their structural design, and the market-leading compact brushless motor design sets them apart. Its products' performance and texture are on par with those of other well-known power tool producers, and thus are fiercely competitive on the Japanese market.

Rotake Tools, a tool maker that originally specialized in pneumatic tools, is pouring more resources into the R&D of professional-level lithium-ion power tools. The three types of 20V lithium batteries currently being developed are thin 2.0 Ah, standard 5.0 Ah, and high-capacity 8.0 Ah batteries. To give the market products that are highly innovative and competitive, the new products that will be introduced will also be enhanced and optimized in terms of performance, working efficiency, appearance, and ergonomic design.

The success of this show exemplifies the company's ongoing efforts to raise the bar on product quality and technology as well as to get ready for future market share growth in Japan. In the Japanese market, we anticipate seeing Rotake's products gain even greater appeal and acceptance.

General Lithium Ion Battery Safety

For many years, the chemistry used in power tool batteries was commonly nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) and nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd). During the past decade there has been an almost universal conversion to lithium-ion (Li-Ion). There were numerous reasons for the change, such as higher energy density (more energy in a smaller size), lower-toxicity materials, no memory effect, slow rate of self-discharge. The benefits of this newer Li-Ion technology have allowed higher-demand tools and applications to be battery powered, and provide significantly more work-per-charge. This extended capability, combined with the portability of battery tools, has resulted in a dramatic increase in their use.
